 Library Committee

Mission Statement:
To provide and maintain multi media resouces in the library.

General Responsibilities

  • Process new books, video and audio tapes, magazines and other resources
  • Communicate to the congregation information regarding new accessions
  • Assist groups in locating resources.
  • Conduct periodic shelf reading of volumes.
  • House computer lab

    Specific Program Responsibilities

  • Advertise news of the library in "Tower Talk" once a month.
  • Maintain hall bulletin board.
  • Staff library between Sunday worship services.
  • Encourage Children and Youth Sunday School classes to visit the library.
  • Conduct monthly story telling sessions for summer Sunday School Children.
  • Promote books and videotapes as memorial gifts.
  • Provide table displays for groups as requested.

      Responsibilities of the Chairperson

    • Chair Library Committee meetings
    • Attend and Report to CECC (Christian Education Coordinating Council) meetings (4X per year) 
    • Attend District library meetings.
    • Keep current on new releases.

        Responsibilities of the Members

      • Attend Library Committee meetings.
      • Assist with bulletin board, staffing library, storytelling with children and other tasks, as requested.
