Library Committee

Mission Statement:
To provide and maintain multi media resouces in the library.

General Responsibilities

Process new books, video and audio tapes, magazines and other resources

Communicate to the congregation information regarding new accessions

Assist groups in locating resources.

Conduct periodic shelf reading of volumes.

House computer lab

Specific Program Responsibilities

Advertise news of the library in "Tower Talk" once a month.

Maintain hall bulletin board.

Staff library between Sunday worship services.

Encourage Children and Youth Sunday School classes to visit the library.

Conduct monthly story telling sessions for summer Sunday School Children.

Promote books and videotapes as memorial gifts.

Provide table displays for groups as requested.

Responsibilities of the Chairperson

Chair Library Committee meetings

Attend and Report to CECC (Christian Education Coordinating Council) meetings (4X per year)

Attend District library meetings.

Keep current on new releases.

Responsibilities of the Members

Attend Library Committee meetings.

Assist with bulletin board, staffing library, storytelling with children and other tasks, as requested.
