John Augspurger is from the southeast Iowa town of Pulaski. A graduate of what is now Truman University in Kirksville, Mo., his undergraduate degree is in music, which explains his interest there. John and his wife Deb were married in college in 1981 and have two children. Amy is a junior at Morningside College in and enjoys art and music and all things to do with kittens. Wil is is a senior at Waukee High School. He is interestd in music and plays the piano. He loves singing and is a four-year All State Choir member. Deb is a music teacher at Fairmeadows Elementary in West Des Moines.
John and his family have been in West Des Moines since 1998. John works with the Praise Band for the contemporary worship service as well as Adult Education, teaches Disciple Bible Study and our Communication Committee.
